The advantage of the DC08-I/DC09-I is its smaller design compared to the DC07. Dimensions: 7 x 15 mm and 2.5 mm thick.
Because it is 1/3 smaller than a DC07-SI/DC10-SI, it can be more easily installed in driver's cabs and cars. It has a receiver for distance control and IR signals on the circuit board.
The decoder can be equipped with a LCIR Long Control IR for control by DC Car Booster and PC Transmitter.
This enables long-range control.

• DC08-I Operating voltage: 3.0 to 5.0 volts. The decoder is designed for 3.6 volt LiPo batteries.
  
• DC08-I-24 or DC08-I-SP This decoder set also includes an external voltage converter.
  

• DC09-I Operating voltage: 3.0 to 5.0 volts. The decoder is designed for 3.6 volt LiPo batteries.
  

- A paid upgrade from the DC06 to the DC08 is not possible without replacing the decoder. From February 2014, the DC06 will be replaced by the DC08.
