Traffic Control
Priority Tiny (VT or VTL)
VT-TINY or VTL-Tiny DIL Chip
Available in DIL or SMD packages
Printable version available here
Usable for:
- Stop signs (a vehicle stops itself)
- Priority control (a vehicle stops other vehicles)
- Construction zones (a vehicle stops itself)
- Narrow sections (a vehicle stops oncoming traffic)
- Parking/Bus stops (a vehicle stops other vehicles)
- Priority control for left-turners VTL (a vehicle stops vehicles that have their left turn signal activated)
The Priority Tiny can be used with the DC-Car system to control traffic.
When a vehicle passes over a sensor (reed switch, HG1 Hall sensor, IR sensor, or phototransistor), an IR stop signal is generated for an adjustable duration. Consequently, this traffic control module can also be referred to as a Construction Zone Tiny, Narrow Section Tiny, or Stop Tiny.
The timer resets and begins anew each time the sensor is triggered. Maximum 60 seconds (600 sec)
Thus, heavy traffic can permanently block the side street.
Only vehicles with their left turn signal activated will react to the stop signal from the VTL.
